Leh, December 24/ VOL News Desk/ A  review and discussion meeting on new project proposals under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) was held today at Mini DC Conference Hall, Leh, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Leh ,Romil Singh Donk(IAS). 

The meeting was convened to assess proposed developmental initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure and improving service delivery in identified vibrant villages of the district.

The meeting commenced with a detailed discussion on ongoing projects under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP), including entrance gate construction, community hall construction, and other works being executed in various villages.

DC, Leh sought detailed updates on the status of each project. Concerned officers briefed the Chair on the scope of work, physical progress, and implementation details of the ongoing constructions.

DC Leh instructed all departments to submit photographs and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of the ongoing works. It was further directed that a follow-up review meeting would be convened in the coming days to re-examine the projects in detail.

Additionally DC Leh , directed officers to ensure that contractors complete all works within the stipulated timeframe and adhere strictly to approved specifications.

During the meeting, officers also highlighted the urgent requirement of accounts assistance/staff in all VVP areas, stating that the absence of dedicated personnel is causing operational and administrative difficulties.
