Kargil, December 26, 2025/ VOL News Desk/ In a proud achievement for the region, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kargil has been awarded the title of Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Ladakh, recognizing its exceptional efforts in agricultural extension and rural empowerment.

The prestigious award was presented to Dr. Nasreen Fatima, Head of KVK Kargil, at the three-day National Level Zonal Workshop of KVKs (Zone-1), hosted by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST)-Jammu.

This recognition highlights KVK Kargil’s innovative outreach programs, which bring cutting-edge agricultural technologies and practices directly to farmers in the challenging high-altitude terrain of Ladakh.

Prof. Nazir Ahmed Ganai, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Kashmir, congratulated the KVK Kargil team, calling the award a testament to their dedicated work in promoting farmer-centric innovations.
