Kargil, November 24/ VOL News Desk/ A delegation led by Nasir Hussain Munshi, Councillor of the Choskore constituency, met Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, at the Council Secretariat today.

The delegation informed the CEC that the ongoing construction work at Saldasthang should be stopped at the earliest, as the land is a traditional grazing area of the community and the activity may adversely affect their livestock.

CEC Kargil gave a patient hearing to the grievance and stated that a meeting will be held tomorrow with the DC Kargil, ACR, Tehsildar, and other concerned officers to look into the matter.

He assured the delegation that the issue will be resolved after proper consultation with the concerned department and that a viable solution will be proposed—one that does not hamper developmental activities while also taking public sentiments into consideration.
