Leh, Oct 29/ VOL News Desk/ A three-day District Level Cascade Workshop, jointly organized by the Department of School Education, UT of Ladakh and IISER Pune, commenced today at DIET Leh. The workshop aims to strengthen teachers’ conceptual understanding, classroom pedagogy, and subject-specific methodologies for effective curriculum implementation at the foundational and middle stages.

The program emphasizes fostering scientific temper, inquiry-based learning, and mathematical reasoning among students. Science and Mathematics teachers from all six education zones of District Leh — Leh, Khaltsi, Kharu, Nubra, Durbuk, and Nyoma — are participating in the workshop from October 29 to 31, 2025, in two batches.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Head of Department, DIET Leh, Mrs. Sonam Lamo, who welcomed the participants and felicitated the resource persons from IISER Pune — Ms. Shivani Pulse, Ms. Zahida Sheikh, and Ms. Pallavi Sherwali — along with master trainers from Leh.

The event concluded with the distribution of Science and Mathematics kits to all participants to encourage hands-on learning and classroom innovation.
