NSD Launches 20-Day Theatre Workshop for Children in Kargil
Kargil, October 15/ VOL News Desk/ The National School of Drama (NSD), through its Theatre in Education (TIE) Centre, Srinagar inaugurated a 20 Days Production Oriented Theatre Workshop at Govt. Middle School (GMS), Goma Minjee, Kargil.
The initiative, a collaboration with GMS Goma Minjee and the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, aims to enhance life and personality development skills in children through theatre pedagogy.
The workshop commenced today at the KGBV Hall, Goma Minjee where Mr. Salawodin Loan, Incharge Principal of GMS Goma Minjee, welcomed the NSD faculty. In a gesture of local tradition, Mr. Ali Naqi (VEC) and Mr. Loan presented traditional Khatak to the faculty.

The Workshop Director, Mr. Dipankar Paul (Assistant Professor, NSD), addressed the participants, stressing the vital importance of Theatre in Education (TIE).
Kacho Ahmad Khan, an NSD alumnus, is serving as the Assistant Director cum Coordinator for the 20-day intensive program and briefed attendees on the production-oriented curriculum.
Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary, Coordinator of the TIE Centre, Srinagar, delivered the vote of thanks.
