Mobile Medical Unit Camp Conducted at Yangthang Village
Khaltse, October 31/ VOL News Desk/ A Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) camp was successfully organized by the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Khaltse, Dr. Shamim Ahmad, at Yangthang Village on 30th October 2025.
The camp provided specialized healthcare services to the local community and was led by:
Dr. Stanzin Yangdol, Consultant Physician;
Dr. Stanzin Choeying, Dental Surgeon and alongwith with concerned paramedical staff.
Services Rendered and Patient Statistics:
Physician Consultation: 25 patients,
Dental Consultation: 20 patients,
Physiotherapy Consultation: 25 patients,
Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening conducted for eligible patients.
In addition, the Ophthalmic Assistant carried out cataract screening under the National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment (NPCB & VI).
The camp was well attended and proved highly beneficial, providing essential medical, dental, and diagnostic services to the residents of Yangthang Village.
