District Administration Leh gives Medical Update on Injured Persons in Leh
Leh, September 25, 2025: The District Administration Leh in a presser updated the public on medical condition of those affected in the unfortunate clash that occurred in Leh on 24 September 2025.
Immediately after the incident, 90 injured persons were admitted to NHM Hospital Leh. Despite all possible efforts by doctors and medical staff, 04 individuals lost their lives. Out of the admitted patients, 07 remain in critical condition, 20 suffered major trauma, and 61 sustained minor injuries, stated the ADC Leh Ghulam Mohd in the presser.
“We are relieved to inform that 50 patients were discharged yesterday after receiving treatment. One patient in critical condition has been referred to Delhi for specialized care. As of now, 18 patients remain admitted in NHM Leh, of which 11 were discharged today following medical recovery”, Ghulam added.

The District Administration and Police Department have completed the post-mortem procedures, and the bodies of the deceased have been respectfully handed over to their families.
In order to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incident, prohibitory orders under Section 163 have been imposed across Leh. Security forces are on alert, and the administration is closely monitoring the situation.
The District Administration has appealed to all religious organizations, political and non-political groups, community leaders, and residents of Leh to maintain peace and harmony.
