Friends Pashkum Crowned Champions of Shaheed Mohd Raza Memorial Volleyball League
Kargil, Aug 30/ VOL News Desk/ The first edition of the Shaheed Mohd Raza Memorial Volleyball League 2025, organized by Ladakh Volleyball Academy, concluded on August 30 with a grand evening match. Play began at 6 PM and continued under floodlights, creating an exciting atmosphere for both players and spectators.
A total of 20 teams from across Kargil took part in the tournament. The final match was played between Friends Pashkum and Team TRP A. Both teams showed great skill and energy, but after a thrilling contest, Friends Pashkum lifted the championship trophy of the first edition. Around 700 spectators gathered to watch and cheer, turning the venue into a lively arena.
The organizers arranged a light system, drinking water, and other facilities for players and teams, which was widely appreciated by participants and the crowd.

The Chief Guest, Haji Mohmad Hanifa Jann, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, UT Ladakh, praised the effort to keep alive the memory of Shaheed Mohd Raza through sports.
The Guest of Honour, Kacho Mohammad Feroz, Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, congratulated the winners and assured continued support for youth activities in Kargil.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Javeed, President of Ladakh Volleyball Academy, said the league was a tribute to Shaheed Mohd Raza and also an opportunity for young players to showcase their talent. He thanked the Administration, SSP Kargil, Police Department, DYSS Kargil, players, guests, and spectators for making the event a success.
