CEC Kargil Dr Jaffer Akhoon Meets Delegation of teachers’ forum from Sankoo
The delegation raised several issues, including the shifting of the Zonal Education Office Sankoo from its present flood-prone location, filling of vacant posts of Head Assistant and Senior Assistant to ensure smooth functioning of the office, and the establishment of an IGNOU B.Ed. Examination Centre in Kargil to facilitate local teachers and students.
Cheif executive Councillor, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon informed that the process for relocating the ZEO Office has already been initiated with communication sent to the Chief Education Officer, Kargil, and further discussions will be held with higher authorities.
On the matter of staff vacancies, he stated that the Senior Assistant has been deputed already and document verification process for newly appointed Junior Assistants is underway and they will be posted soon. He further assured to take up the request for setting up an IGNOU B.Ed. Examination Centre in Kargil with the concerned authorities to address the concerns of the teaching community.
