Leh/Kargil, Ladakh – The Union Territory of Ladakh is set to commence recruitment for various District Cadre posts, with the respective District Subordinate Services Recruitment Boards (DSSRB) in Leh and Kargil tasked to initiate the process. This move aims to fill vacant positions across different government departments in the region.

The recruitment drive will strictly adhere to the domicile and reservation laws currently in force within the UT of Ladakh. This ensures that the hiring process is fair, transparent, and in line with established legal frameworks.

To facilitate the recruitment, key regulations and notifications have been made available to the DSSRBs. These include amendments to the J&K Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act, 2010, and the J&K Reservation Act, 2004, as they apply to Ladakh. Furthermore, the Procedure for Grant of Domicile Certificate Rules, 2025, and notifications pertaining to areas adjoining the Actual Line of Control in Ladakh, along with prescribed domicile formats, will guide the process.

Additionally, the Ladakh Reservation (Amendment) Rules, 2025, which outline the reservation quota, rosters for direct recruitment and promotion, and the procedure for preparing select lists, will be integral to the upcoming recruitment. These measures underscore the UT Administration’s commitment to a systematic and equitable recruitment process.
