During the awareness sessions, KVK scientists and experts from allied departments shared valuable insights on topics such as natural farming, organic manure preparation, integrated pest management, crop diversification, and climate-resilient agriculture.
In addition to technical guidance, officials from allied departments also disseminated information about various government schemes and subsidies, including those related to farm mechanization, horticultural plantations, livestock development, and soil health management. Farmers were encouraged to avail the benefits of these schemes to enhance their agricultural productivity and income.
Farmers appreciated the initiative and shared that such programmes play a vital role in enhancing their knowledge and skills. They acknowledged that adopting natural and scientific farming techniques will not only improve their yields but also ensure long-term environmental sustainability.
The campaign is set to continue in more villages in the coming days, further strengthening the agriculture sector and rural economy of Kargil.
