DC Kargil chairs DCC/DLRC meeting
KARGIL MARCH 04, 2021: Deputy Commissioner/ District Magistrate and CEO, LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhdeve today chaired the meeting of the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the quarter ending December, 2020 at TFC Conference Hall Bemathang.
District Lead Bank Manager Sarwan Kumar, heads of all line departments, Cluster Heads of the State Bank of India, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Kargil and Branch Managers of Public Sector and private sector banks operating in the district were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner Kargil reviewed the performances of banks under Annual Credit Plan while the Potential Linked Credit Plan 2021-2022 for Kargil District prepared by NABARD, Regional Office, Jammu was also launched on the occasion. The House also approved Annual Credit Plan of Kargil District for the financial year 2021-2022 and the Annual Action Plan for the Year 2021-2022 of RSETI, Kargil.

During the course of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Kargil reviewed the progress of cases under various flagship schemes under the district.
Thorough discussions and deliberations were held with regard to the current position of deposits, advances, CD Ratio and advances under credit linked schemes.
The District Lead Bank Manager, Kargil Sarwan Kumar informed the meeting about the banks’ performance during the quarter ending December, 2020. He said that total deposits stands at Rs.1744.08 crores and total credit stands at Rs 837.58 crores. Under Total Credit Priority Sector, lending stands at Rs.131.52 crores which comes to 44% of Annual Credit Plan (ACP) Target. Credit Deposit Ratio up to the quarter ending 31-12-2020 stands at 48.02%, he added.
The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion reviewed the performance of the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Kargil. The DC was informed that it started functioning from September 2019 and up to the quarter ending December, 2020, 11 skill development training programmes were conducted at the Institute and training was provided to 289 candidates for making them self-employed.
The Deputy Commissioner Kargil on the occasion directed all bankers to clear the pendency of various Government sponsored schemes thereby increasing the achievement percentage of annual credit plan of the district up to 31st March, 2021.
DC Santosh Sukhdeve further directed all banks and officers to create awareness about the Government sponsored schemes specially MUDRA, PMEGP, KCC, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY and other schemes thereby creating transparency in sponsoring more loans to the public.
The Deputy Commissioner also stressed on the expansion in public outreach to far flung areas to disseminate information about different Government flagship schemes that are beneficial for the public and particularly asserted to focus on digital and financial literacy amongst the masses. He also called for comprehensive and timely accomplishment of targets earmarked before 31st March, 2021 to provide more economic development opportunities to the beneficiaries.
