Kargil Inter school Quran recitation competition concludes

VoL Desk, April 30, 2022: The second series of annual inter-private schools Quranic recitation program organised by All Private Schools Association, Kargil (APSAK) under the patronage of Board of Management, MPS Baroo held today at Mutahhary Public School Baroo.

Oil tanker driver killed in Zojila accident

Ganderbal, May 1, (CNS) : Accident took place at Zojila national highway in which an oil tanker driver died on spot here in Ganderbal district on Sunday morning.

Reports reaching CNS that an oil tanker (PB08CP-0866) on way towards Kargil skidded off the road near Zojila axis.

They said the oil tanker fell down into the deep gorge resulting in the death of the oil tanker driver identified as Muzafar Iqbal son of Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Kewal Budal village of Rajouri district.

LAHDC Leh, Kargil Haven’t Gone In For Audit Since Inception: CAG

Jammu, April 28: The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India today said there were 56 autonomous bodies in J&K and Ladakh that had failed to submit their accounts for audit, many of them for decades. The CAG, in a report, said that delay in submission of the accounts entailed the “possibility of a fraud”. It said the bodies had been asked to submit the accounts time and again for annual audit.
