Successful Airlift of Ladakh Haj Pilgrims Amid Flight Cancellation

Leh, May 16, 2025: The Haj Committee of Ladakh has successfully facilitated the airlift of 240 Haj pilgrims from Ladakh via two SpiceJet flights—SG 5211 and SG 5233—from Srinagar to Delhi and onward to Madinah Munawwarah. Flight No. SG 5109, which was originally scheduled to transport the pilgrims on May 9, 2025, had been canceled due to prevailing situation at the Srinagar Embarkation Point. Kargil, May 14, 2025 – Shri Jahangeer Akhone, a JKAS officer, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kargil, with the additional charge of Deputy Director Employment, Kargil. He assumed the charge of ACR on May 13, 2025.
