Leh, Nov 22: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse, today convened a meeting of District level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee to review the status of Aadhar enrolment and updating in the district with all the concerned departments.

Man in Kathua axes brother, wife to death over ‘land dispute’

Jammu, Nov 22: A man on Tuesday axed his younger brother and his wife to death over ‘land dispute’ in village Marheen of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Ramesh Kotwal said a man identified as Raj Kumar (accused), resident of Chak Wazir Labzoo murdered his younger brother namely Naresh Kumar, 32 and his wife Asha, 24 at their residence in tehsil Marheen.

Cianjur, Indonesia: A shallow 5.6-magnitude earthquake killed at least 56 people and injured hundreds when it damaged buildings and triggered landslides on Indonesia’s main island of Java on Monday, officials said.

Work quality compromised by contractor in irrigation kul at Chokiyal, Drass: Public, AEE
