DIET, NCERT New Delhi organizes orientation program on Holistic Progress Card for Headteachers of Kargil
Kargil, March 26, 2025: On March 25, 2025, the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kargil, in collaboration with NCERT New Delhi, organized an orientation program on the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) for Headteachers of Kargil district.
A total of 80 Headteachers from various zones participated in the training. Resource Persons from NCERT, conducted sessions on different components of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) in the context of the National Curricular Framework (NCF-FS & SE).
In her keynote address, Syeda Banoo, Principal of DIET Kargil, expressed gratitude to PARAKH NCERT for providing expert guidance for the program.

Professor Indrani, Head/CEO of PARAKH, in her audio address, emphasized the significance of the Holistic Progress Card and discussed key challenges in its implementation.
The Holistic Progress Card (HPC) under PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development) by NCERT is designed to offer a comprehensive evaluation of students beyond academics. It focuses on cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The HPC promotes competency-based assessments, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills rather than rote memorization. By integrating qualitative and quantitative measures, it aims to provide a well-rounded student profile, encouraging personalized learning and holistic growth.
