He urged fasting individuals to adopt patience, tolerance, piety, and righteousness, stating that this month provides the best opportunity to avoid evil deeds and advance in good deeds.
Following Sheikh Lutfi’s address, a Quran recitation session was held, where participants benefited from the soul-stirring recitation of the Holy Quran. Later, Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Bashir Shakir explained the interpretation of specific Surahs of the Quran, shedding light on the philosophy of fasting and its spiritual blessings.
He mentioned that the Quran was revealed during Ramadan, and reciting, reflecting upon, and acting upon the Quran during this sacred month breathes new life into a believer’s existence.
A large number of people are participating in the spiritual gatherings of Ramadan, and mosques are filled with worship, prayers, and remembrance of Allah. Religious scholars are encouraging fasting individuals to actively participate in mutual compassion, charity, Zakat, and donations to help the needy and underprivileged in society.
These religious gatherings are not only serving as a means of spiritual awakening but are also motivating people to follow Islamic principles and play a positive role in society.
