Fire at Skalzangling Leh Reduce11 Shops to Ashes

Leh, February 27: A massive fire broke out last night in the Skalzangling area of Leh district, reducing 11 shops to ashes. According to sources, the fire suddenly erupted in one shop and quickly spread, engulfing several nearby shops in no time.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident, but the fire has caused millions of rupees in financial losses. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, though initial reports suggest a short circuit as the possible reason.

Local residents attempted to control the fire on their own but were unsuccessful due to its intensity. The fire and emergency services were called immediately, but by the time the team arrived, 11 shops had already been completely destroyed.

It is worth noting that this is the second fire incident in Leh city within a month. Earlier, a fire near the airport at the Industries Office resulted in two individuals suffering fatal burns, while an entire building was completely destroyed.

The Ladakh Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
