Grand Finale of Female Quran Competition Held in Kargil with Ceremonial Splendor

Kargil, February 6, 2025 – The grand finale of the Female Quran e Kareem competition, organized under the banner of Baseej-e-Rouhanion, IKMT, was held today at Musallah Ya Imam, Minji Gund. The event marked the culmination of a two-week-long competition that began on January 19, 2025, and saw enthusiastic participation from female students across various blocks of Kargil.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including the Chief Guest, Hojjat-ul-Islam Sheikh Hussain Lutfi, Principal of Jamia-e-Imam Khomeini, and Special Guests, Hojjat-ul-Islam Sheikh Mohammad Hasnain Rizwani, Vice-Chairman of IKMT, and Shaikh Bashir Shakiri. Also present were Hajiya Tohira, President of Zainabiya Women Welfare Society, and Hajiya Batool, Chief Organizer of Zainabiya Women Welfare Society, along with executive members of Baseej-e-Rouhanion, IKMT, Kargil.

The competition, which aimed to promote the recitation and understanding of the Holy Quran among female students, witnessed the participation of 139 female students from Darul Qurans across Kargil. After rigorous evaluations at the block level, 36 outstanding female students were selected to compete in the district-level finale.

The judging panel comprised Shaikh Ibrahim Karimi and Shaikh Sadiq Shujai, who evaluated the participants based on their recitation, Tajweed, and understanding of the Quranic verses.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by a student of Darul Quran Imam Musa e Kazim, Stickchay, setting a spiritual tone for the event.

In his address, Chief Guest Hojjat-ul-Islam Sheikh Hussain Lutfi emphasized the importance of Quranic education in shaping moral and spiritual values. He praised the efforts of Baseej-e-Rouhanion, IKMT, and Zainabiya Women Welfare Society, as well as the teachers of Darul Quran for nurturing talented students. He encouraged the students to continue improving day by day and to actively participate in all events, not just those related to Darul Quran.

The event was attended by executive members of IKMT, teachers, students, and a large number of residents, who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the participants and the successful conclusion of the competition.

The ceremony concluded with the announcement of winners, who were awarded certificates, medals, and prizes for their exceptional performances. The winners are as follows:
First Position Asiya Banoo, d/o Ali Raza, r/o Baroo, student of Darul Quran Baroo Khas.
Second Position Zehra Batool, daughter of Mohd Mustafa, r/o Baroo, student of Darul Quran Zainab Oliya Baroo Tsok.
Third Position Roqia Banoo d/o Zakir Hussain r/o Sankoo, student of Darul Quran Zainabiya Sankoo.

Shaikh Zakir Haidery delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, guests, and attendees for making the event a grand success.
