Leh, Dec 30, 2024: A delegation comprising members of The Buddhist Society of India, Leh Chapter, led by its President, Sonam Stobdan, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Commissioner/Secretary, Dr Vasanthakumar N, IAS, was also present in the meeting.

President, The Buddhist Society of India, Leh Chapter, Sonam Stobdan informed the HLG that the Leh Chater of the Society was formed almost three years ago to eradicate discrimination against the oppressed section of society. He requested the HLG to provide land to establish the office of the Society and support the establishment of the Meditation Centre. He informed the HLG about the meeting of the members of the Society with the Hon’ble CEC of LAHDC Leh in this regard.

The HLG asked the members of the Society that he would hold a meeting with them again in the presence of Advisor to the HLG and Deputy Commissioner Leh to discuss the issue in detail.
