VOL Desk . 25 nov.2024 : The Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), Kargil staged a massive peaceful rally against the Shia target killing in Parachinar, Pakistan. The rally started from Jamia Masjid Kargil and passing through Islamia School Chowk concluded at Lal Chowk. Hundreds of people joined the rally after the noon prayers chanting slogans against Pakistan Government over their failure in providing protection to minorities in the country. The demonstrators also chanted slogans against Israel and America over their inhuman oppression over people in Palestine. The demonstrators appealed for immediate halt to Shia target killing in Parachinar, and Israeli bombardment in Palestine and Lebanon. In an interview to VOL Correspondent, Vice Chairman, IKMT, Sheikh Hassnain Rizwani said that it is a religious obligation on all Muslims to stand against any oppression or tyranny in any part of the world. Fulfilling this religious duty hundreds of people have gathered today to express resentment against Shia target killings in Pakistan. “After hearing the news of cold blooded killing of more than 100 Shia Muslims in Parachinar of Pakistan hundreds of people have gathered here in Kargil today to protest against the brutality. If the Pakistan army and police had not sympathized, the terrorist groups would not have dared to do such heinous crimes against humanity in Pakistan, said Syed Mohd Umba.
