Kargil, October 14, 2024: ICDS Kargil and District Hub for empowerment of women Kargil celebrated International Day of the Girl Child from October 03 to 11, 2024 under the banner of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (Save Daughter, Educate Daughter).

The program highlighted that girls are the vision and future of any economy so it’s very important to enhance any kind support and assistance to them. 

In this regard, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India implemented the celebration of International Day of the Girl Child.

The program held with the objective of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative highlighted the gender inequality in areas such as access to education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care and protection from discrimination, violence against women and forced child marriages.
