Kargil, May 30: A training for Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro-Observers for the Lok Sabha Election-2024 was held today at Conference Hall, Baroo, Kargil.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Suhail Ahmed; Assistant Returning Officer, Skalzang Dorje; Naib Tehsildar election and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.

During the training program, the counting staff were trained about their role and responsibilities. Besides providing hands-on training to the participants, the trainers presented a detailed PPT on the role of Counting Supervisor, Counting Assistant and Micro-Observers and mandatory counting of VVPAT slips at office polling stations randomly selected.

The trainers requested the officials to check the machines thoroughly and make sure that they were intact. They asked the officials to work as a team and function as one unit during the counting process.

They also urged officials to highlight any problem that may arise during the counting process to the concerned authority for early correction. The training was imparted by district level master trainers: Kacho Hassan, Mohd Ali and Mohd Hussain.
