A Momentous Encounter: Students from Drass Meet the Hon’ble President of India
Delhi, June 03, 2025 | In a proud and historic moment, a delegation of 16 bright and ambitious students from the Drass subdivision—renowned as the second coldest inhabited place in the world—in the Union Territory of Ladakh, had the esteemed privilege of meeting the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. This interaction was part of the prestigious National Integration Tour, organized by the Forever in Operations Division of the Fire & Fury Corps.
This memorable occasion marked the culmination of the students’ aspirations and served as a testament to their academic excellence and determination. During the interaction, the students expressed heartfelt gratitude and shared their dreams of achieving success in academic and professional fields.
The Hon’ble President, in her inspiring address, appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army and encouraged the students to chase their dreams with passion and purpose. She urged them to draw inspiration from visionary leaders who exemplify determination, hard work, and lifelong learning.

As part of their enriching tour, the students visited iconic institutions and landmarks including IIT Jammu, Fish Aquarium Jammu, National War Memorial, Nehru Planetarium, Dilli Haat, Select City Walk Mall, and India Gate in New Delhi. These experiences have broadened their horizons and instilled in them a profound sense of national pride and unity.
The delegation will now proceed to the next phase of their journey, visiting premier institutions such as the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Forest Research Institute (FRI), Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Graphic Era University in Dehradun, and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. These visits will offer valuable insights into India’s administrative, academic, and military frameworks, showcasing the country’s rich heritage and diversity.
The National Integration Tour, thoughtfully designed and executed by the Forever in Operations Division of the Fire & Fury Corps, aims to cultivate a spirit of patriotism, unity, and leadership among young minds. By facilitating engagement with renowned institutions and distinguished personalities, the initiative seeks to inspire the students to become the change-makers and leaders of tomorrow.
