School Play Highlights No Tobacco Day in Kargil

Kargil, May 31, 2025: To spread awareness on World No Tobacco Day, the Government Middle School, Byathang, Shilikchay organized a meaningful awareness program. The event included a street play performed by students at two busy places, Lal Chowk and Islamia School Chowk.

The program began with a cheerful call from the students: “Come and watch our play, come and watch our play!”. Hearing this, many people stopped and gathered to watch the performance.

In the play, the students showed how small actions like peer pressure or friends offering cigarettes for fun can slowly lead to smoking addiction. What starts as a joke or a one-time thing can turn into a dangerous habit.
