Major General Bevli’s Kargil Visit Boosts Ladakh NCC
Kargil, May 28, 2025 – Major General Anupinder Bevli VSM, Additional Director General NCC Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, made a historic visit to Kargil, marking a watershed moment for NCC in the region. This visit is a testament to the unit’s unwavering dedication and unrelenting efforts, besides ushering a new era of success and accomplishments for NCC in Kargil.
Upon arrival, Colonel Suveer Seth, Commanding Officer of 2nd Ladakh Bn NCC Kargil, and Lieutenant Mohmad Hussain, ANO and Vice Principal of Govt Boys’ HSS Kargil, warmly recieved Major General Anupinder Bevli.
The dignitary was then escorted to the Drill Ground, where he was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by a contingent of cadets, who presented an impeccable, impressive and a flawless display of drill and discipline, reflecting the highest standards of NCC’s traditions.

With the raising of 2nd Ladakh Bn NCC, the unit is resolute in its pursuit of excellence, driven by the visionary leadership of the Commanding Officer, Col Suveer Seth. The unit is hellbent in elevating the standard of infrastructure and training programs, and determined to achieve unparalleled and unprecedented truimph .
Despite being in the nascent stages of their development, we are geared up to add more feathers to our cap and may emerge as one of the top-performing units in the country, said the CO.
The Commanding Officer while highlighting the core aims and objectives of the NCC reaffirmed that the camps and training programs are designed and structured in a way to generate a pool and lump of trained, organised and motivated youths to provide leadership in all walks of life .
The visit of an army officer of higer rank and merit (Major General Anupindar Bevli VSM) in just five months after the unit’s raising, is a significant morale booster and a testament to the unit’s unflinching efforts. It underscores the potential and promises that our unit holds, and we are committed to rendering the best services possible to emerge as a vibrant and exemplary unit, said Lt Ali Haider.
The establishment of 2nd Ladakh Bn NCC has already yielded significant benefits, resolving many perennial challenges faced by our ANOs and cadets. Our training programs, enrollment, and allied activities are now proceeding smoothly, and we have planned an ATC camp and various adventurous activities to further hone our skills and camaraderie, the CO stated.
This visit has not only boosted our morale but also reinforced our resolve to excel. We are poised to make the most of this opportunity and take our unit to new heights, leveraging the momentum generated by Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli’s visit, said ANO Lt Hussain.
Vice Principal and Associate NCC Officer Govt. ML Boys’ HSS Kargil Lt Mohmad Hussain said that 2 Ladakh Bn NCC Kargil is all geared up to make a lasting impact in the region in terms of human resource development and management.
The ANOs who attended the program include Lt Ali Haider ANO GHSS Barsoo, F/O Asgar Ali ANO GHS Baroo, T/O Mohd Hussain ANO JAME Kurbathang and CTOs of Different Govt and Private Institutions.
The whole event was proceeded by Third Officer Marzia Banoo, ANO Govt Girls’ HSS Kargil. The event concluded with a high tea enjoyed by all Officers, ANOs and Cadets altogether.
