Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi said, “We have planted trees in areas with suitable soil and water availability, including government and private schools, colleges, hospitals, and universities across Kargil. This campaign is a step toward creating a greener and healthier Ladakh. I thank all participants, departments, and villagers for their wholehearted support.”

Executive Councillor Aga Syed Mujtaba Musavi appreciated the initiative and remarked, “During the construction of National Highway 301, many trees were cut down in our village. Today, by planting thousands of new saplings, we are trying to restore that loss. The plantation of 1,24,000 saplings is dedicated in the name of the 1,24,000 Payamber (prophets).”

Nambardar Trespone Mohd Ismail extended his gratitude to Jamiat Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil and the district administration on behalf of the people of Trespone for supporting and contributing to this green initiative.

This plantation drive aims to mitigate the effects of climate change, prevent soil erosion, and increase green cover in the region.
