Various delegations called on LG BD Mishra in Kargil
Kargil, January 19, 2025: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd.) was called today by several delegations from different areas of Kargil at Raj Niwas, Kargil.
Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, IAS, Administrative Secretary Agriculture, Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Administrative Secretary (Rural Dev. & PR/IT/Disaster Management), Shashanka Ala, IAS, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kargil, Shree Ram R. were present during the meetings.
Ashraf Hussain, a resident of Kargil called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested for transfer of his daughter, Nargis Bano, a staff nurse currently working at JVC Bemina Srinagar to Kargil.
In reply, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, IAS, examine the matter.
A delegation of residents from Hunderman village headed by Mohd Ali called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested for compensation of their land which has come under road, installation of mobile tower, ice hockey rink and drinking water facility.
Regarding land compensation, the DC Kargil informed the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor that the payment will be released in the next budget adding that the black topping of the road will be done this year.
About installation of mobile tower, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed Deputy Commissioner Kargil to look in to matter and do the needful.
Regarding the ice hockey rink, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed Deputy Commissioner Kargil to do the needful as per rule.
About drinking water facility, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed Deputy Commissioner Kargil to do the needful under the JJM scheme.
A delegation of residents led by Mohd Sajjad Khan Councilor Saliskote Constituency called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested to merge Faroona-Khachan village with TSG Block. In reply, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor assured the delegation that the issue will be examined and needful will be at an appropriate time.
A delegation of NHM employees from Kargil called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested for regularization of their services and preference of seats for NHM employees in the recruitment of permanent posts in Health Department.
CMO Kargil, Dr Liyaqat Ali Khan informed the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor that there is no regularisation policy for the NHM employees with NHM Ladakh as of now and employees get yearly extension as per their annual performance.
A delegation of residents from GM Pore called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested for creation of new Panchayat Halqa.
Regarding the matter, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor said that needful will be done at appropriate time as per rules.
A delegation of Bachelor’s in Rural Development Management (BRDM) degree holders led by Habibullah called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested that they should be given preference in Rural Development Department jobs.
The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed Administrative Secretary (Rural Dev. & PR/IT/Disaster Management), Shashanka Ala, IAS to take note of the issue and examine the matter.
A delegation of unemployed Dental Technicians/Hygienists called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor and requested for advertisement of Dental Technicians/Hygienists in Health Department Ladakh.
In this regard, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor telephonically spoke to Adm/Secretary, General Administration Department, Michael M. D’Souza, IAS, and Director Health Services Ladakh, Dr Thinles Tashi about the matter and was informed that 16 posts will be advertised soon in Ladakh.
Feroz Ahmad, a contractor from Kargil called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor regarding the pending payment of the works done through I&FC Department. The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed AEE I&FC to finalize the case with in seven working days.
Tahir Ali, a resident of Hardass who lost a leg in a mine blast in Hunderman and now relies on an artificial limb called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor seeking financial assistance.
In this regard, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed DC Kargil to look into the matter and do the needful as per rules. The Deputy Commissioner assured that Tahir Ali’s wife will be provided a Sewing Machine and training so that she can earn money and support her family.
