Vol Desk ,28 December 2024: The Female Wing of the AlKargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) successfully concluded the “FATIMA IS FATIMA” program at the Ghalib Institute, New Delhi, in honor of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra (sa), the revered daughter of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming address from the Joint Secretary, officially marking the start of the program.

Esteemed speakers included Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain, Prof. Dr. Nayyar Jalalpuri, Syed Kalbe Rushaid (Guest of Honour), and Dr. Ziaee Nia (Chief Guest), who delivered insightful speeches on the life and teachings of Lady Fatima (sa). They highlighted her unparalleled virtues as a model of chastity, honor, and modesty, emphasizing her role as an exemplary figure for all women. The speakers discussed how Lady Fatima’s (sa) life exemplified the principles of truth, justice, resilience, and ethical values. They urged the audience to counter gender-based stereotypes by embracing the virtues she embodied.

As part of the event, AKSAD presented the “Kaneez e Zahra Award” to the top female volunteer in recognition of her dedication and selfless service. This prestigious award will be given every three years. Additionally, mementos were presented to the distinguished guests as a token of gratitude for their presence.

The ceremony also included the presentation of Certificates of Achievement and Cash Prizes to the top three winners of the “Let’s Write for Fatima” Essay Writing Competition 2024, along with Certificates of Appreciation for all participants.

The program concluded with the General Secretary of AKSAD expressing sincere thanks to the distinguished speakers, honored guests, participants, and volunteers, acknowledging their vital contributions to the success of the event.
