Kargil Urged for Swift Recruitment of Contractual Lecturers to Alleviate Student Suffering
VoL Desk, April 12: Imam Juma, from the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust in Kargil, Sheikh Hameed Nasiri, has urged for the prompt recruitment of contractual 10+2 lecturers in the Department of Education. This shortage of teaching staff is adversely affecting students’ education.
Nasiri emphasized that despite the advertisement of posts and applications from interested candidates, the recruitment results have not been declared. Consequently, students across the district are facing difficulties in their studies, especially in Higher Secondary Schools where some lack permanent faculty and rely entirely on contractual lecturers.
The delay in recruitment, attributed to the Model Code of Conduct in light of the Lok Sabha election, is exacerbating the situation. Nasiri suggested that for essential needs like education, permissions could be sought from the relevant authorities to expedite the process.
