At least 36 District Cadre posts from Kargil shifted to Leh, CEC writes LG to withdraw order
VoL Desk, Feb. 06: On shifting of District Cadre posts from Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Kargil, the CEC Kargil Feroz Khan has written a letter to the Lieutenant Governor, Union Territory of Ladakh, Radha Krishna Mathur demanding immediate withdrawal of the order.
“In continuation to D.O letter vide No: 09/7833 dated: January 28th, 2023, it is submitted that the matter with regard to shifting of District Cadre Posts from Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Kargil to Leh district has already brought to your kind notice, with the request to withdraw the orders issued in this effect, but the Administrative Secretary FCS&CA, UT Ladakh has not taken any action in the matter till date which creates high vehemence among the elected representatives and unemployed youths of the district, besides great embarrassment for the department to smooth functioning of the departmental works on ground level”, read the letter by the CEC.
“Since the posts in FCS&CA department in Kargil have already sanctioned as per the need and desires of the department by the government and shifting of the posts from Kargil to Leh is not justified in any way. If additional posts are required for FCS&CA department Leh, it is feasible to sanction new posts for Leh district inspite of shifting of the already sanctioned posts for Kargil”, the letter maintained.
