Youth Action Committee Kargil conduct awareness on RTI Act
October 15: Youth Action Committee Kargil organised an awareness program on “the RTI Act 2005” at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil today.
Right to obtain information from any Government institution is a Fundamental Right of every citizen of India. A citizen can seek information from any Government offices, department, ministries, and all the organizations run by the government, read a press release issued by the organization.
We know corruption is the biggest obstacle in the development and prosperity of any nation whereas corruption is increasing day by day in every part of the the world. At the same time we found it practicing in our district too, alleged the press release.

Meanwhile, incharge vigilance Inspector Mohd Shameem along with his team share their views on the types of corruption and the role of Financial Crime Unit Kargil in eradicating corruption from the society.
He stressed on the role of public and youth in order to overcome corruption and need of awareness in public about types of corruption and duties of public as well as Right to Information Act .
Resource persons of YAC one by one shared awareness on the importance, silent features as well as, objectives of RTI Act and taught the procedure to file an RTI.
Advisor YAC Sajad Hussain spoke about the role of youth in shaping the future of the Nation and advised the youth to become self dependent and take charge of their destiny. He stressed the youth to not fall prey in the hands of anti-social elements and concentrate on their studies.
At the end of the programme question answer session was also held among resource person, students and staff members of the school.
The program ended with the word of thanks by the Senior most lecturer of the Institution and thanked for organising such a fruitful awareness program and requested to organise more and more such educational sessions and workshops in every schools of district Kargil.
