Sustainable Cleanliness Drive commences across Leh
Leh, Aug 05, 2021: “Ladakh, as a society is culturally conscious in terms of cleanliness”, Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur stated at the launch of the 10-Day cleanliness drive across Ladakh. He sought cooperation from the community to keep Ladakh clean and hence, healthy.
To spread awareness during the 10-day cleanliness drive, the LG Ladakh R K Mathur flagged off a Cycle Rally organized by the Police Department, Ladakh. The rally witnessed participation from 50 cyclists.
Similarly, the ten-day Sustainable Cleanliness Drive (Swachh Ladakh Swasth Ladakh) conducted by the Block Development Officer, Khaltsi, commenced in the Khaltsi sub-division also.

Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khalsti, Suhail Ahmad, flagged off the cleanliness drive held from SDM Office up to TCP Khaltsi.
Chairman, Block Development Council, Khaltsi; Block Development Officer, Khaltsi; Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD Khaltsi; Zonal Education Officer, Khaltsi; Sarpanch Khaltsi; Naib Tehsildar, Khaltsi and all the employees of sub-division Khaltsi participated in the cleanliness drive.
Similar cleanliness drives were conducted at Singay Lalok and Skurbuchan blocks of the Khaltsi sub-division.
Here in Nubra, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Lakshay Singhal, today flagged off the Swachh Ladakh Swasth Ladakh cleanliness drive at Diskit. The sustained cleanliness drive is organised by the Rural Development Department (RDD), Diskit.
Tehsildar Diskit, Block Development Officer, Diskit; Zonal Education Officer, Diskit; Zonal Education Planning Officer, Diskit; staff of concerned departments, President of Merchant Association Diskit and shopkeepers participated in the cleanliness drive. They cleaned the main market at Diskit and the adjoining areas.
