CEC LAHDC Leh inaugurates Ladakh: New Start, New Goals
Leh, August 25: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyaltson inaugurated the B2B meeting on the theme, ‘Ladakh: New Start, New Goals’ in the presence of Secretary Tourism, K Mehboob Ali Khan; Belgian Ambassador, Francois Delhaye; Finland Ambassador, Ritva Koukku-Ronde; High Commissioner Bangladesh; Mohd Imran Khan and Director Tourism, Kunzes Angmo, at Grand Dragon Ladakh.
The Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Department UT Ladakh, in association with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), is organising the event.
CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyaltson welcomed the guests and congratulated the Tourism Department of UT Ladakh for the event. He extended his best wishes and gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism for organising such an event in Ladakh, especially in the tourism sector. He added that the majority of the Ladakhi people are dependent on the tourism sector for their livelihood.

He further added that Ladakh could not perform better last year due to the Covid-19 crisis, but progress has been made this year. He expressed hope and shared that Ladakh would prosper in the coming days.
Later, the Belgian Ambassador, Francois Delhaye and Finland Ambassador, Ritva Koukku-Ronde, interacted with the Thiksay Rinpoche, Nawang Chamba Stanzin at the Sherap Skitsal Ling Library and Learning Centre at Thiksay. They also visited the Thiksay monastery.
