KARGIL MAY 17, 2021: Department of Labour, Kargil under the supervision of the Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) , Kargil Raziya Khatoon carried out a day long awareness-cum-inspection drive of labour camps/ quarantine centres in Batalik area here today. 

During the course of the programme, ALC Kargil briefed the workers about the etiquettes and behaviour which needs to be practiced religiously to stop the spread of COVID-19. She urged the labourers to remain properly masked all the time and report any sort of complications or symptoms immediately to the concerned authorities for early diagnosis and treatment.

Later, the ALC also met the In Charge Army officers and urged them to provide properly ventilated accommodation to the laborers and monitor their health status on regular basis. She also expressed her satisfaction on the arrangements been made by the Army for the labourers.

Meanwhile, ALC Raziya Khatoon also inspected different construction sites in and around Batalik Sector to check the adherence of COVID-19 SOPs by the contractors and laborers in the area. She also distributed masks among the construction workers.
