Center approve Rs 381.01 Cr for widening of Kargil – Zanskar road
KARGIL, APRIL 02, 2021: The Central Government has approved budget for widening and upgradation of the NH-301 Kargil – Zanskar road, announced the Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on his Twitter handle late on Thursday.
“For Ladakh – Work of widening and upgradation to 2 Lane with paved shoulder of NH-301 Kargil – Zanskar road on EPC mode (Pkg – III) in the UT of Ladakh has been approved with a budget Rs. 381.01 Cr. #PragatiKaHighway”, Gadkari twitted.
Quoting the tweet of the MoS, Ladakh Member of Parliament thanked the MoS, PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

The NH-301 connects the Zanskar Sub-division to its district Headquarter Kargil. It has been remained a long pending demand in Kargil as the area has a huge concentration of population in Suru Valley and Zanskar.
