KARGIL, APRIL 29, 2021: The Rate Fixation Committee under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil Tsering Motup today approved the partial revision in rate list of vegetables, fruits, mutton and chicken/ live birds (broiler) which shall prevail within the urban and rural areas of the district with immediate effect till further orders.

An order issued in this regard by the Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kargil states that these rates shall remain in force temporarily till further orders.

Any violation of this sale rate shall be liable for execution under the Essential Commodities Act, the order reads.

All the vegetable sellers and butchers have been directed to display the rate list for information of the general public.
