DKOA Delegation Called Upon Secretary Ravinder Kumar at Kargil
KARGIL, MARCH 08, 2021: A Delegation of District Kargil Olympic Association led by its President and former Deputy Director Youth Service and Sports J&K Haji Mirza Hussain, called upon the Administrative Secretary Youth Service and Sports UT Ladakh Ravinder Kumar.
The delegation met with the Secretary at DC Office Kargil and submitted a memorandum on behalf of all the affiliated associations of Ladakh in general and Kargil in Particular.
Haji Mirza Hussain referring to the ongoing National Tournaments under various disciplines as well as the life coming to normal again after the Pandemic Covid 19 requested to direct the authorities to provide space to the Affiliated Sports Associations to carry on with the routine practice of different sports. So that athletes can get prepared for the coming National Events.
He further requested that there is an urgent need to form a proper State Sports Council so that athletes from the district can ensure participation in the coming national level competitions.
He also proposed that during the coming summers DKOA will organize a mega Sports event the name of “Ladakh Games” in which participants from all over Ladakh can take part.
Referring to the problem being faced by various associations while registering themselves with Registrar Societies, Haji Mirza Hussain requested the Secretary to address to the issues regarding the registration of Sports Association under Societies Act, requested to set up an office at Kargil also for the registration of Sports Associations.
Ravinder Dangi while giving a Patient Hearing to the demands of the Delegation informed that Sports Council will soon be formed in UT Ladakh, and other demands will be addressed on priority basis.
The delegation was comprised of Mohammad Amin Polo, Anayat Ali Shotopa, Zaheer Abass Khan and Safdar Ali.
