KARGIL FEBRUARY 22, 2021: Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate and CEO,LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve convened an introductory meeting of the district officers at Conference Hall Baroo here today during which he took stock of the working of various departments and examined the developmental works in the district.

Additional DC Kargil Tsering Motup, Additional SP Kargil Iftikhar Talib Choudhary besides all the district and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.

The DC directed the officers to work with missionary zeal and added dedication to fulfill the aspirations of the people, adding they must listen to demands of people and their grievances which will be reviewed on monthly basis as per the prescribed format which shall be issued from the DC office shortly. He stressed on the officers to ensure that all government employees are present during their working hours in their respective offices so that the common man should not suffer and no employee should leave the district without station leaving permission.

The DC also impressed upon the officers to be sensitive to the needs of the common people. He also underlined that the departments with more or less similar nature of schemes should work in convergence to give impactful benefits to the common people.

The DC stated that among other priorities in different sectors, focus will be laid on youth development through self employment schemes and training programmes to extend employment opportunities to the educated unemployed youth.

The DC also directed the officers of Revenue and Rural Development departments to sensitize their officials thereby ensuring that public issues and grievances are disposed off in a proper and satisfactory manner.

The officers were further directed to ensure proper redressal of cases under Public Service Guarantee Act as per the set timelines.

Meanwhile, the district officers briefed the DC about the functioning of their respective departments besides various developmental and welfare schemes in execution in the district.Thay also put forth several issues pertaining to their departments.
