KARGIL, FEBRUARY 12, 2021: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil and Chairman, District Task Force Committee on COVID-19 Vaccination, review meetings on the present status of vaccination were held here in Kargil, Drass and Zanskar here today.

In the meeting at Kargil, which was chaired by Tehsildar Kargil Muhammad Salim Wazir, the Block Medical Officer (BMO), SHO and CDPO were present.

The BMO informed the meeting about the COVID-19 vaccination which is in progress all over the district.

At Drass, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of the SDM Drass Muhammad Hassan.

BMO, ZEO, BDO, SHO and other concerned officers were present in the meeting where in it was informed that the 1st phase of COVID-19 vaccination has been completed that covered primary health care workers in two shifts, adding that during the coming days, other frontline workers will be given COVID-19 vaccine shots in the next phase of the vaccination.

Further, the BMO urged all the officers concerned to prepare and motivate the workers to be dosed and to make them aware regarding the merits of vaccination.

At Zanskar, the meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDM Zanskar Sonam Dorjay.

The meeting was attended by all the members of task force constituted for COVID-19 vaccination in the sub division.
