KARGIL, FEBRUARY 12, 2021: Sheep Husbandry Department Kargil conducted an awareness camp for breeders regarding Karakul Sheep breeding at BVO Office Trespone here today.

The camp was held in Trespone-B where Chairperson Block Development Council (BDC) TSG Block Haji Tahir Hussain, Dr Fida Hussain, Block Veterinary Officer (BVO), TSG and Dr Muhammad Baqir, Manager, Karakul Sheep Farm Khumbathang besides other officers and officials of Sheep Husbandry Department were present.

During the course of the awareness programme, the resource persons educated the breeders about various aspects of the breeding process besides the importance and scope of breeding of Karakul sheep.

The doctors also enlightened the breeders about the diseases in sheep and their preventive measures.

The resource persons also informed the breeders about the various departmental activities and schemes regarding breeding of sheep and goat.
