Vol Desk, April 18: The Srinagar-Kargil national highway has been reopened for traffic on Thursday following a four-day closure due to avalanches and landslides at Zojila Pass.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, taxi and auto drivers staged a protest against the administration for the extended closure of the highway since the previous Sunday.

VoL Desk, Dec. 07: Tragedy struck at Zojila Pass as a vehicle, identified as a Xylo, veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge, claiming the lives of five individuals.
As per sources, that five people from Kargil passed away in the tragedy.
Reports indicate that the vehicle was en route from Srinagar to Kargil when the tragic accident occurred on Zojila Pass. Authorities, including the Army, police, and local residents, swiftly responded to the scene to initiate rescue operations.
