CEC Leh Hands Over Vehicle for Night Duty and Emergency Services at SNM Hospital

Leh,16th November 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Adv. Tashi Gyalson, today handed over a vehicle to SNM Hospital, Leh, aimed at supporting doctor’s emergency services.

The vehicle will be used for the pick-up and drop-off of doctor’s during late hours, addressing emergency medical services. This move is expected to enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery, especially in urgent cases that require immediate attention.

Abdominal tumor weighing 3.94 kg removed at SNM Leh

Leh, March 06: A  team of doctors successfully removed a 3.94 kg abdominal tumor from a 70-year-old high-risk patient having multiple comorbidities at SNM Hospital, Leh.

The team was headed by Dr Padma Deskit, Consultant Surgeon assisted by Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr Stanzin Dolkar; Senior Consultant, Anesthesia, Dr Morup, and Surgeon, Dr Gyalpo.  

The team of doctors said that it’s rare and such a huge tumor has ever been removed at a District level hospital.
