Ladakh admin proposes to notify 5.69 lakh kanals for field firing range in Kargil

The administration of Union Territory Ladakh has proposed to notify 5.69 lakh Kanals of land in Drass area of Kargil district as a field firing range.

Kargil, Nov 16, KNT: A Jamia Masjid was completely gutted in a devastating fire incident in Drass area of Kargil on late Wednesday evening.
  
Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that fire broke out in the Masjid and in absence of any fire dousing mechanism, the Masjid got completely damaged.

Fresh flash flood cause widespread damage at Drass

VoL Desk, August 14: Flash floods triggered by heavy rains hit different villages of Drass in Ladakh’s  Kargil district on Sunday, reported sources.

Dozens of houses, shops  vehicles and crops were damaged in the floods that affected many villages viz Yulboo, Skutiyal, Lamochan, frove, Majidgam, and Gindiyal. Water and mud have also entered in many houses.
