To enhance the Civil Defence preparedness for tackling emergencies, a Civil Defence Mock Drill will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 4:00 PM onwards in Kargil town.

As part of the drill, sirens will be activated at various locations. This is an exercise to test our emergency response system and enhance coordination among different stakeholders for effective disaster management.  

District Disaster Management Authority Kargil and District police Kargil requests general public to remain calm and not to panic.
