Kargil, May 03, 2025: Member of Parliament for Ladakh, Haji Hanifa Jan, visited Mehdiabad, Yourbaltak, accompanied by Executive Councillor, Kacho Mohd Feroz Khan, Executive Councillor Aga Syed Mujtaba, and Councillor of the Yourbaltak Constituency, Manzoor Hussain. The residents of Mehdiabad warmly welcomed MP Haji Hanifa Jan and the accompanying councillors with enthusiasm and respect.

During the dinner event, extensive discussions were held with the residents of Mehdiabad Village. The villagers raised several important demands, focusing not only on the overall development of the Soudh region but also on finding long-term solutions to the recurring drought problem.

They highlighted the ongoing water shortage in Soudh and strongly emphasized the need to make the lift irrigation system effective and fully operational.

The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to MP Haji Hanifa Jan for raising the issues of Soudh in Parliament. They also expressed hope that the MP would continue to advocate for Soudh in the future and remain committed to its overall development.
