Friday Sermon Calls for Restraint on ‘Godi Media’, Urges Public Vigilance
Kargil, May 9, 2025: During the Friday sermon at Musalla Imam, Minjee Gound, organized by the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil, prominent scholar Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Lutfi addressed pressing global and national issues, urging people to remain vigilant against divisive forces.
Sheikh Lutfi praised Yemen’s Houthi resistance for standing firm against the US and Israel in support of Palestinians. Despite relentless attacks, their resilience forced America to eventually agree to a ceasefire—a significant victory for oppressed nations.
Referencing India’s Operation Sindoor (April 22 retaliatory strikes on terror camps in Pakistan), he accused Pakistan of sponsoring cross-border terrorism while oppressing its own minorities, particularly Shia Muslims in Parachinar. He also denounced Pakistan’s unprovoked shelling in Poonch and Rajouri, calling it a cowardly act against civilians.

Sheikh Lutfi emphasized national unity but warned that certain rogue media outlets and anti-social elements are fueling communal tensions, aiding enemy agendas. He criticized attempts by some media to communalize the Pahalgam terror attack (April 22), despite nationwide condemnation from mosques in Kashmir.
Highlighting Kargil’s sacrifices in India’s wars, he quoted the Hadith: “Love for the homeland is part of faith.”
The cleric urged people to reject social media rumors, rely only on official updates, and demanded strict action against rumormongers. He also condemned hoarding, calling for patience and resilience amid economic challenges.
The sermon concluded with prayers for India’s armed forces and their continued success in safeguarding the nation.
