BMO Khaltse Holds Medical Mobile Unit Camp at Urbis Village

The Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltse, Dr. Shamim Ahmad, organized a Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) camp on May 21, 2025, at Urbis village to provide essential healthcare services to the local population.

The camp offered a wide range of medical services, including gynecological consultations, cervical and breast cancer screenings, hypertension screening, NCDs Screening and Laboratory test. Additionally, cataract screening was conducted under the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB+VI).

A total of 60 patients benefited from the initiative, including 15 gynecology OPD patients and 30 general OPD patients. Furthermore, 15 patients underwent screening for cervical and breast cancer.

Dr. Padma Ladol (Gynecologist), Dr. Ashish Vaishnavi (Medical Officer), along with a dedicated team of paramedical staff were present during the said camp.

The primary objective of the camp was the early detection and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, malnutrition, and anemia.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the BMO Khaltse to improving healthcare access in remote areas and promoting awareness about preventive healthcare among the local communities.
