Kargil, April 19: A small car skidded off the Kargil-Drass highway near Jusgund and plunged into the River. Initial reports suggest that two individuals were in the vehicle, and they are feared missing.

Upon receiving news of the accident, fifteen volunteers from Baseej-e-Imam, SDRF, Ladakh Police, and Baqirya Ambulance Service teams immediately reached the site and began rescue operations.

However, heavy rain and snowfall in the area are severely hampering rescue efforts. Strong currents and adverse weather conditions have further complicated the mission for the rescue teams.

Sources from Baseej e Imam stated that all possible resources are being utilized to locate the missing individuals, while the public has been urged to avoid unnecessary travel near the accident site.
