Sankoo Observes Quds Day with Massive Procession Demanding Justice for Palestine

Sankoo, March 28, 2025 – A powerful procession was held in Sankoo on International Quds Day, organized by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman (ASZ) and Markaz-e-Tabligat Imam Reza Sankoo, to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. The rally, held after Friday prayers, saw thousands of participants—including men, women, children, and elders—demand an end to Israeli aggression and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

International Quds Day, initiated by the founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Imam Khomeini, is observed annually on the last Friday of Ramadan. The day serves as a global call for resistance against Israeli occupation and support for Palestinian liberation.

Protesters marched through the streets carrying banners and placards with slogans such as “Free Palestine,” “Boycott Israel,” “Stop Atrocities Against Muslims,” and “Zionism is Racism.” The rally also condemned the atrocities in Syria, Yemen, and Parachinar (Pakistan), while calling for global Muslim unity.

Addressing the gathering, religious scholars emphasized that Al-Quds Day symbolizes unwavering solidarity with Palestine, a cause that has gained global recognition from Asia to Europe and Africa. They strongly criticized the ongoing violence in Gaza, Lebanon, and other conflict zones, as well as the silence of international human rights organizations.

“The siege of Palestine is not just an attack on Muslims but an assault on human dignity, freedom, and international law,” one speaker declared. The scholars also condemned the U.S. and Western nations for their attempts to legitimize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and urged the United Nations and UN Security Council to intervene.

The speakers called on the Indian government to sever all diplomatic ties with Israel and stand with the oppressed. They also appealed for unity among the Muslim ummah to counter extremism, communal hatred, and geopolitical injustices.

Similar rallies were held across the region, including in GM Pore, Trespone, Saliskote, Taisuru, and Barsoo, reflecting widespread public outrage against Israeli occupation and global inaction.
